We have deliberately built Prism to collect as little personal data as possible. We are based in the United Kingdom and handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. The app

Prism is an informational app that shows current stock-market conditions. To use it, you do not create an account with us and you do not give us your name, email, or any identifying information.

We do not embed advertising trackers or third-party analytics that identify you. Your settings — such as your watchlist — are stored on your own device; we do not receive a copy.

2. Payments, subscriptions, and free trials

Prism is offered as a paid subscription with a free trial. All payments and trials are processed by the app stores — the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store — acting as the seller. This means:

  • We never receive or store your payment card details.
  • Apple and Google handle billing, trials, renewals, refunds, and the related tax.
  • Your purchase information is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies, linked below.

The stores provide us with anonymised or aggregated sales reports (for example, how many subscriptions sold in a country). These do not identify you personally.

3. The newsletter ("Market Weather Report")

If — and only if — you enter your email address to subscribe, we collect and store that email address.

What we use it for

To send you the Market Weather Report and occasional related updates about Prism. Nothing else.

Our lawful basis

Your consent, given when you submit the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who processes it

Our newsletter runs through [NEWSLETTER PROVIDER], who store the list and send the emails on our behalf as our data processor. Their handling is covered by their own privacy policy: [provider policy link].

Unsubscribing

Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed. We keep your address only until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
